The 11th Annual Warrior 196 Memorial 5k Run | Ruck | Walk honors and remembers five young men, all graduates of the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan public schools, who lost their lives while serving in the US Armed Forces from 2006 to 2011.
This year’s evolution of the Warrior 196 rotates to the campus of Eagan High School. The course follows the local bike trails near and around the EHS campus, with the start and finish in the main parking lot of the hgih school. Race information can be found on the Warrior 196 Leadership Foundation website: www.warrior196.org, and at raceroster.com. There are discounts for teams, based on number of participants on a team.
Proceeds from the event fund nearly $20,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, paying forward the legacy of the five ‘196 Warriors’. In ten years, the Warrior 196 has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving graduates.
